That idle is there for 3 months

Could anyone tell me what is the use of Ethernet port and how to use it? I connected it to my modem. DHCP settings automatically were done, pressed green button to test the connection, it said connection success.
Now what to do? I do not see any extra features enabled or any downloads etc.

Its for catch up tv.. U can download movies via Internet .. call cc regarding this.. It will cost u 10 rs / movie download with 24 hours validity

Release number shows 503 and software status shows IDLE. Is it latest? Or 504 is latest? How to upgrade?
Not able to verify if 3D feature is present in STB. How to check if its 3D compliant without using the 3D TV?
