New Ghoomar song is without Deepika Padukone's midriff

The video of the Ghoomar song has been edited in which, Deepika's midriff has been covered up with a red layer. Real-life Royals were offended by the song as they said that Rajput women do not dance and the song Ghoomar showed Deepika (who essays Rani Padmavati in the film) performing the art form. Even the Central Board of Film Certification had suggested modifications to the song so as to make the depiction befitting the character that is being portrayed.

Padmaavat Ban to Stay, Government to Take Next Step After Studying SC Order: MP Home Minister

The Supreme Court on Thursday paved the way for an all-India release for Padmaavat on January 25 by staying the operation of orders banning the release of the film by the Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana governments.

Following the controversy over the film, the Chief Minister had declared that the film will not be allowed for release in the state.

However, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister S.K. Mishra said there has been no official order in the regard.

So officially there is no ban on film so that supreme court will not put them in jail for contempt of court case, on the other hand, giving a statement as if it is ban in state. Great policy :biggrin:
