If u are using 2.1 there won't be any issue,u can't find any major issues.
Thanks for sharing video file. I have tested it on my TV. Audio bit rate is showing 384 kbps, but @Scofield mentioned as 192 kbps. Can you please share STAR MAA HD recorded video file if possible.

Sun Music HD is 384 kbps and Sun HD is 512 kbps. Rest of the HD channels are 192 kbps. Sun Music HD is marginally better compared to other HD channels.
This is very useful info. So its all tricky (as all HD channels are not same audio bit rate) to go ahead with one or two positive feedback. I requested for STAR MAA HD recorded file. I will take decision after that.

I am also tempted by seeing good number of HD channels, that too 7 out of 8 available telugu HD channels & package price also relatively cheap when compared with competitive market price. I will check for audio quality one telugu HD channel and then I will move forward based on findings. I am little liberal for DTH audio quality as I used to watch movies/TV series from Laptop/Amazon prime/Netflix. Thanks bro for info.

please try stb to 5.1 channel or more av reciver throw optical or HDMI cable then coment audio issues and clarity.

I can't do that as I have not bought SD connection yet. Ideally sound system should be connected TV, not set-top box, I guess. Any how I will post my findings after testing.

There will be a difference in audio quality between HDMI and Optical cables if your Home Theater supports Dolby Digital Plus. Since Optical cable doesn't support DD+, the audio will be slightly better than HDMI output. However, my Home Theater doesn't support DD+, so there is absolutely no difference between HDMI/Optical out.

You can, but it depends on which transponder used by that channel

You can watch and record a different channel if its in same transponder
