In my opinion if cable is available in your area just go for it. And in case if cable is not available in your area then go for DTH connection. In my place hathway provide just 24 channels in 150 rupees which cost me 250+150=400 else I can watch many HD channels in 299+95=394 in Tata Sky my first preference is HD channel.

For me as suggested by @ABCDEFGH bro below Tata sky pack looks good for you:


In Tata Sky you can take My99 Pack (₹99) + Telugu Regional Pack(₹65) + English Movies add on(₹90) + Regional HD pack (₹50)
Total = ₹304

Or else on Dish TV:
Joy Pack(₹100)+ Telugu Superstar(₹51) + 8 English Movie channels (₹80) + Supreme Telugu HD add-on(₹25)
Total=₹256
If you need less English movie channels rather than all, you can opt for specific ones at ₹10 for each.

Dish tv is giving these 8 channels on English movie pack for ₹98 and if we select each channels separately we get them for ₹80
