Seeking Help Poor picture quality of SD channels on Tata Sky HD STB

My TV setting was default as Vivid. And I changed the settings u posted. Otherwise I watching only HD channels. For test I done that, it work fine

Many Tatasky lovers say Tatasky service is top of world so this is actual review by a customer who is telling it is worst than cable in SD channel PQ

No dish can match a local cable tv. It is very true... but cable has its own disadvantages. I have a cable connection for sd channels and tata sky for hd channels. My cable has frames rates issue.. and sometimes frames missing.. hd channels are very bad in cable.. for sd channels cable is best.

No way cable is better than DTH even for SD or HD channels in general,may be your cable operator may be giving good quality SD DTH box which is an exception

Iam from tamil nadu and the cable operators here play with the band width. The increase the band width especially for tamil channels. Sun group sd channels look like ... u cant believe unless u see... audio quality is top notch... but the hd channels are not good..

I have noticed low volume on English HD movie and entertainment channels like HBO, Movies NOW, Sony Pix, Star Movies Select , AXN, Colors Infinity on my Tata Sky HD set top box. Any idea what could be the reason and how can that be corrected.

Hi. I got a new Tata Sky HD STB and subscribed to South Sports along with HD access. The picture quality on HD is channels is great.
But for SD channels, the picture looks blurred. For Telugu SD channels like Star Maa Movies or Star Maa Gold or ETV Cinema, the PQ is very low.
I have a 32 inch LED. So, I dont think that is the problem. Previously, I had ACT cable, which was giving me decent picture on SD channels also.
Please help.
P.S: I connect the STB to TV using the given HDMI cable.

Yeah it is true recently I have checked my friend bought tatasky for sanyo TV but sd PQ not good blurred. I am using D2h sanyo TV PQ quality is great

Tweak the TV settings a bit.... Sharpness to 40 or above....brightness contrast etc..

Guys I observed one thing if hd settings is changed to 576p 50hz, SD channel picture is much sharper and better like 720p...but HD channels quality messed up...wish they let user to select separate resolution for SD and HD channels

after seeing the add i shifted dish tv to tata play connection last week, the picture quality is very poor and i am very much disappointed, any one buying tata play please recheck or compare with other service providers
