MUMBAI: The Prasar Bharati board, at a meeting held on Monday, decided to finalise the FreeDish policy. According to an Asian Age report, the public service broadcaster gave its approval to Doordarshan which operates the entity. The finalised version will be submitted to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).

The above report says "policy is likely to consider I&B ministry’s direction to stop all e-auction of channels on DD free dish." That means DD free Dish with out good channels will be flop show showing only DD Channels and educational channels. So good times again coming for Dish TV/D2H/Airtel DTH and Tata sky as at least 70% of these customer will take paid DTH connections and some may shift to cable if cable connection is available in that village
