Problem with EPG Recording after updating software ID 58

I fully agree with your point 1, however have not tried point 2, will experiment
The time based recordings seem to work if you use "one off". If you put daily or weekdays does not seem to record the second day, but not sure have to experiment more

Bro, does the point 1 apply for all channels. Have you tested on numerous channels?

One more rather funny thing I have observed:

After many hours of usage in a day, the box display changes completely to clock indicator even when watching channels (not in stand-by). When channels are changed, it shows the channel number for a second and changes back to clock. A restart solves the problem and again would persist next day too. Have you encountered this?

Regards

I have not encountered this problem, but I have not used for many hours in a day
The recording with OK button seems to work fine , not sure if you press "record this series" it will still work, will try this out
I suppose till an update is available we will have to make do with this mode of recording

So let's write to their cc and ceo and post on fb so they will release a rectified software version

I completely agree with the problem stated in this thread. the D2h DVR1000 GB is the most buggy box i've ever come across. its highly questionable how does a mainstream company like videocon can push such a device to its premium customers without appropriate R&D and QA of software releases (Download ID 57 & 58).

1. Scheduled recording starts on time but does not stop automatically as one would expect. the recording continues endlessly until manually interrupted or the disk space runs out.

2. series management is the biggest failure here as the recording doesn't stop, due to this other scheduled recordings are unable to start as one cannot record more than 2 channels simultaneously , error "tune failure".

3. in case you schedule a repetitive recording (week days) time-based , the box hangs and does not respond to any remote button press, only power-off and on is the solution then.

I am highly disappointed with the shoddy quality products that videocon D2H makes.
