MUMBAI: Finally, some good news for Sony Entertainment Television (SET). Multi Screen Media’s flagship Hindi general entertainment channel has jumped to the fourth position, two ranks up from its previous week’s status. The top three Hindi GECs – Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV – have lost some eyeballs in the week ended 22 February


MUMBAI: Star Plus, Zee TV, Life OK and Sony Entertainment Television saw increase in viewership in the week ended 1 February. Colors and SAB fell marginally. Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:
Star Plus stays at the top with a GVM (gross television viewership in million) of 627, up from 606 million in the trailing week.
Zee TV is No 2 with 468 million, up from 441 million.
Colors is No. 3 with 447 million, down from 449 million.
Life OK is No. 4 with 387 million, up from 375 million.
SAB – 319 million, down from 323 million.
Sony – 298 million, up from 254 million.
Sahara One – 39 million, up from 36 million.

MUMBAI: Star Plus touched a new high, pocketing 728 GVM (gross television viewership in million) in the week ended 8 February. In the trailing week, the Hindi general entertainment channel had got 627 GVM. Zee TV remained at second spot. All the other Hindi GECs lost viewership.
Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:
Star Plus stays at the top with 728 GVM, up from 627 million in the trailing week.
Zee TV is No 2 with 495 million, up from 468 million.
Colors is No. 3 with 424 million, down from 447 million.
Life OK is No. 4 with 344 million, down from 387 million.
SAB – 292 million, down from 319 million.
Sony – 252 million, down from 298 million.
Sahara One – 36 million, down from 39 million.

Colors scaled up to No.2 again, after a gap of two weeks.
Zee TV and Life OK witnessed a fall, while the two Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) of Multi Screen Media (MSM) grew.

Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:

Star Plus stays at the top with 702 GVM, down from 728 million in the trailing week.

Colors is No. 2 with 504 million, up from 424 million.

Zee TV is No 3 with 457 million, down from 495 million.

Life OK is No. 4 with 328 million, down from 344 million.

SAB – 297 million, up from 292 million.

Sony – 275 million, up from 252 million.

Sahara One – 37 million, up from 36 million.

R Rajkumar’ helps Colors reclaim second spot



MUMBAI: After a gap of two weeks which saw Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Colors battle it out at the third spot, the channel has reclaimed its No. 2 position by dislodging Zee TV on the back of its premiere of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘R Rajkumar’.

The movie helped the channel garner 11.5 million TVTs (5.45 TVR) constituting 33 GRPs and cross the 500-million mark to touch 504 million, up from 424 million in the trailing week. Colors also witnessed growth on the back of its popular weekend show ‘India’s Got Talent’ which clocked seven million TVTs in the week ended 15 February, while ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ fetched 9.18 million TVTs.

Its fiction shows also performed well which included ‘Balika Vadhu’ recording 7.3 million TVTs and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ peaking at 6.99 million TVTs.

So apart from R..Rajkumar movie, no.1 show for colors is comedy nights with kapil. :eek:hya
Its a seriously tight battle for 4th position between sony, SAB n life :k
