Salman Khan to produce Fiction show for Sony TV

Salman Khan’s transition into the Indian television world has been a very smooth one. His no-nonsense anchoring in the more recently concluded season of ‘Bigg Boss’ (Colors) has been widely appreciated. If all goes well, Khan may be turning producer for the the small screen, as he could be producing an television show based on Mumbai’s police force.

Mirror reports that Khan is in talks for producing the show on Sony Entertainment Television, while he is also ready for the new season of the reality game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’. A source revealed, “Salman is already on board for season three of Dus Ka Dum which is expected to go on air in June. Talks have been on for a fiction show with Sony for some time now. Casting is expected to begin soon and if everything works out as planned, it will go on air by the year end.

Salman’s production house is working for a new show on Sony TV channel.
The series will be based on Mumbai Cops. If conjectures are to be believed, the untitled project will be a part of the SET Originals. The new slot currently airs magnum opus Prithvi Vallabh. There’s high possibility that the upcoming show will air on the same slot, post the wrapping of Indian Premier League (IPL) and 3rd season of 10 Ka Dum.
The casting of the show is already on and the first actor to be roped in is Indian actor Mukul Dev.
The 47-year-old actor will play one of the leads in the cop based thriller.

Bhai will be stepping in the small screen industry and will make a TV series on Mumbai cops. Actor MukulDev name was making the rounds as the main lead, but now, it is confirmed that Dev will play the male lead in the thriller series and he will be paired opposite talented, Pooja Gor.

Talking about the show, "Writer Sridhar Raghavan, who has written films like Rohan Sippy’s light-hearted Bluffmaster and Rajkumar Santoshi multi-starrer Khakee, among others, has written the script."
