Is it HD+PVR? If so, it is not advisable to sell it. You may not get it in future as most of the DTH companies have already withdrawn DVR boxes.

I have not said you cannot sell it. I said that in future if you want to buy it again (even a new box) you may not get it as PVR /DVR boxes are being withdrawn by DTH companies. Dish TV, Airtel and D2H have withdrawn DVRs. Tatasky may soon follow.
I used Airtel HD DVR for 9 years. Last month it went out of order and Airtel refused to replace as the model is out of production. I was forced to buy a downgrade model of a pen drive recorder. That is why think twice before selling it.
