Update: New licenses are awaiting approval from MIB for SS1 Kannada and SS1 Bangla. Full-fledged production works for both channels have begun already. (Malayalam and Telugu in pipeline too.)

This was what I heard from my source at that time, almost two months ago. I never claimed I have not said it, I asked where I have said that as I couldn't remember. However, since Star lost the TRAI case, there have been shuffling in their plan. SS1 Telugu was picked up immediately to launch with SS1 Kannada. I honestly don't know what happened to SS1 Bangla, will try to get an update.

I have an update, Star will potentially launch SS1 in Bangla and Marathi before IPL 2019 and in Gujarati and Malayalam before ICC World Cup 2019; possibly within IPL 2019 Finals. (Disclaimer: I am sharing what I heard from my source and do not blame me if this is not happening)

I guess, instead of launching a Gujarati Sports channel, they should launch a Gujarati GEC first as no competitors are there against Colors Gujarati.
