Hi Dreamers,
I know you're bored with same question again and again, but I am in a great dilemma, so seeking help here.
I currently own a TFT 21" TV which is running on Videocon D2h SD connection, which I chose for low price, but now, it's almost double after 4 years. I am a sports person, and they removed Ten sports (all 3 channels) from the pack.
I have ordered a 43" Sony 4k android Tv which will reach me tomorrow, and I am in market for a new DTH.

My requirements..
Bengali Pack (Must)
All sports channels (Must)
English Movies (Must)
News (Must)
Nat Geo/Discovery/Animal Planet etc (Must)
Music (optional)
Hindi Movies (Optional)

Needless to say, HD channels are required. I am quite torn between Airtel Internet TV and Tata Sky. Tata sky is offering all channel and HD box for 1 year for 8550/- and Airtel is offering it for 7000/-. But airtel is capable of 4k. Tata Sky Box is for 1900 with a month ultra pack + HD, and Airtel is for 3499, and HD box is for around 1800.

I don't really need an android box as my tv has android built in. and after some research on airtel, I came to know about long boot time, annoying Logo issue, signal problem during rain etc

So need your help identifying the right DTH for me. Also instead of buying for entire year, is there any offer which will be beneficial for me with new connection+box?

Sun Direct provides maximum Sports channels within Rs 289 p.m. except Neo channels. This pack includes Bengali Channels too. Initially Sun Direct had less Bengali Channels but now they have added 3 to 4 new Bengali channels making its count reasonably good. For HD you have to pay Rs 150 extra which will give you 70 HD Channels including one Bengali HD channel. Also news, Hindi Channels, English Movies, Infotainment Channels like Discovery, Animal Planet, NGC etc are there.Total cost with HD will be Rs 439 p.m. If you can compromise a bit on quantity then Sun Direct is a good option as it's cheap too. In this price range other dths won't be able to provide such number of channels. I am using Sun Direct since 2013. I am from Kolkata. Contact Number of Sun Direct Kolkata 033 40608383. But if you are looking for quantity then go for Dish TV Maxi Sports Pack plus HD Pack. For details check www.dishtv.in. Quantity wise Dish TV or even Tata Sky would be better. Airtel having irritating logo Reliance currently out of DTH race with lowest channels. Videocon also won't be bad for you also if quality is a matter or else go for Sun Direct . 70 HD Channels @ Rs 150 p.m. I bet no dth can provide.

Airtel is best for your requirement if no budget constraints tatasky

Ur TV will already have android and I Guess it will have android 7.

If u take Airtel internet tv won't it be extra as it will also have android like u said. I suggest go for a normal HD STB.

U can choose between Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV, both are good.

Bro, I did some research after reading your points requirements.

Package wise Tata Sky's Sports Dhamaka Pack may suit you @ RS 420 p.m. plus HD @ RS 150 p.m.

Total- RS 570 p.m.

First of all, thank you everyone for taking your time to help me out. Really appreciate it.
I first thought, lets wait out for JIO DTH and use the upgrade feature of videocon D2h till then. But those buggers said, I have to pay 1250 for one month or 2450 for total 3 months to get the upgrade. and that pack will contain only 38 HD channels. I have to pay 125 per month for Ten extra and only ten 1 will come in HD. So, I did a short recharge till 25th May and decided to bid them good bye.

Go for airtel or Dish liberty box
I didn't consider dish, as I heard they don't have many HD channels. Let me have a look.

Budget is always there, as I will be spending a lot in EMI for coming six months. But the cost savings between airtel and tata sky, is it worth it?

Yes, It will have Nouget. That's exactly what I was thinking, only thing interesting for airtel internet TV is it's capability of delivering 4k when it's available, for the same in tata sky, the box costs 9300/-. But 4k telecast looks like a distant dream now a days, No provider is telecasting FIFA world cup in 4k even though it is shot in 4k.

Rs 9300 is for the HD + (PVR) STB which has inbuilt recording, it has no 4K.

The Tata Sky 4K UHD STB costs around Rs 6400.

He asked out of Airtel & Tata sky and you suggesting him another option of Dish Tv ... confusing him even more.

Before suggesting did you mentioned him the recharge , dual satellite LNB limitations of Dish Tv?
