Nothing is finalized..
We don't know its a merger of acquisition..
Even we don't know the proposed deal will go as such nd will get Govt approval..
First let them decide..

Nd we are arguing about name of the new brand and HDAF should be implemented in airtel.. airtel will share channels from TS's TP.. Cool down everybody..

Still i don't believe Sunil Mithal nd Gopal Vithal will simply sell out one their main business arm.. airtel is not a company which sells out its business, its a company which acquires others business till date. Let's wait nd see what's going to happen

Guys it’s not a merger that’s for sure - Tata Sky is a profitable venture for Tata Group- Tata’s have never sold a business but they did it for Tata telecom business - so nothing is impossible - if merger was on Tata’s mind they would never ever launch Tata Sky broadband - as it conflicts with Airtel broadband - Merger is like Vodafone - Idea - but Here Tata Sky wants to purchase Airtel Digital Tv - Since Airtel wants to focus on telecom after Jio’s entry - profits have fallen for Airtel. Anyways in the next few days all will be front of you guys - had Tata Sky be owned by Tata’s fully merger could be considered - Here Sky group wants to increase stake in the business -

If these reports are to be correct then this will be the largest MSO in the country and the prices could come down considerably due to sharing of resources which will attract subscribers from other DTH players also from local cable and this 44% share could grow upto 66%. :)(y)

The DTH industry in India is going through a phase of consolidation with Dish TV and Videocon d2h merging to create India’s biggest TV distribution platform with 44% share of active pay DTH subscribers, as per TRAI data for the quarter ending 30 June.

Tata Group and 21st Century Fox promoted Tata Sky is also looking to merge with Bharti Airtel’s DTH platform Airtel Digital TV. Tata Group had recently sold its consumer telecom business to Airtel. The Tata Sky-Airtel Digital TV combine will rival Dish TV-Videocon d2h combo with an identical 44% share of the market
