Tata Sky is wasting money on this, nothing positive for them will come out of this for them. They could have better given subscribers this monetary discount.

Talking about court cases, well all the cases which went on between broadcasters and operators all year round about deal renewal or payment related issues will also drastically come down in new regime thus saving costs for them. This is also good for functioning of this sector

This case seems to have taken a different turn. Now "Tata Sky, Sun Direct and Airtel Digital are arguing their case for the implementation of [15% discount] rule in front of the Delhi High Court." So it might in fact benefit the end user.

Oh Really! I didn't read the recent article about this hence not in know of this. If this is indeed true then things become much easier for more affordable channels getting available to us
