Guys,

I have the setup of Dish Tru HD with monoblock LNB and also another Videocon D2H setup. I wanted to connect both dishes to a single STB. But since there is a monoblock LNB it was not possible to connect monoblock from Dish Tru HD and single LNB from D2H to the same STB through a DiSEqC switch.

I gone through several websites and found a way. I tried it and it is working :tup :tup

Here is the explanation about the method.

Get one splitter (5 - 2400 MHz) with power pass in all outputs.
Get one DiSEqC switch (4 into 1)
Take the output from monoblock LNB and connect to the splitter.
Connect one output of the splitter to LNB1 of the DiSEqC switch.
Connect another output of the splitter to LNB2 of the DiSEqC switch.
Connect another Dish (D2H) LNB out to LNB3 of the DiSEqC switch.
Connect the DiSEqC switch output to the set top box.
Select LNB1 for NSS6 satellite (for example)
Select LNB2 for Asiasat satellite (for example)
Select LNB3 for ST2 satellite (for example).
You are done.

Now enjoy 3 satellites in singe STB that too including a monoblock LNB.

I tried this inside my home itself since I already have two different wires from two Dishes (Dish Tru HD and Videocon). I took the video of the setup when I was trying inside my home.

Videos for your view: I hope this will help someone.

Namaste,

I am curious, what is the function of the splitter? what purpose does it serve?

no need any thing......to get signal
just do ...in set-top box select

Diseqc 1.0 -1 port nss6
2nd port -for asiasat-5

The steps mentioned in first post is not required to be done. It was posted by doing self experiments. But later members suggested easiest way to do it by using DiseqC 1.1 switch to connect monoblock LNB and regular LNB together to same receiver. So, ignore the first post.

Namaste,

Thanks for the quick reply. My STB (hopefully) supports DiseQC 1.2 (The Manual says so ...) -- and after some digging I found a 1x8 Diseqc 1.1 switch available from Solid Ltd (SOLID SD-813 DiSEqC 1.1 Switch - 8in1). If anyone could confirm if this will work, I shall go forward and purchase one, as such equipments are not available locally.

Thanking you.

yes using SOLID SD-813 connected Monoblock, Dual ,C band all port and lnb working
