Star will fire employee if they don't work or achieve their target, can you do it in Govt sec ? It's the main reason for profit. So If Star acquire IPL they can make profit but DD cannot. It's the same reason why airtel is running in profit and BSNL is in 30,000 loss

Nice stat. This figure also tells us why customer support had become so poor in Indian telecom! In fact, these customers per employee numbers are less, as they consider total staff count. If we consider only the staff working in customer care department, the number of customers they serve will shoot up further. And now we know, why they are unable to serve us properly and we end up pitying those employees!! Having said that, BSNL/MTNL with those hugely lower Customers per employee numbers are still unable to serve us properly does tell us how pathetic PSUs operate in our country!
