The Supreme Court will hear the matter pertaining to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) tariff order and interconnection regulation on 12 March.

The TRAI had in February filed an application before the Supreme Court seeking to vacate the order that directed the regulator to maintain status quo till the matter is before the Supreme Court.

SC takes up TRAI tariff order matter for quicker disposal

So another few years wait and after that case will go to divisional bench to stay few more years and finally to constitutional bench on copyright ground.

TRAI has notified the tariff order today

The TRAI has given the following new time table for satellite, cable and channel companies.

Broadcasters have to declare an MRP for their channels in 60 days.

DTH and cable companies have to declare their tariff structure — including the base charge as well as the end-user price of each channel, in 180 days.

Broadcasters also have to update their interconnect offer to conform with the new regime within 60 days, and new interconnection agreements between broadcasters (channel owners) and distributors (DTH and cable companies) must be completed within 150 days

Does the a-la-carte Price of Channels will again change??
Airtel has already reduced the price, SD channels at 10 & HD channels at 20.

So now this will become a gamechanger and we will see better and improved services.Hope prices come down and will see missing channels soon. Thanks for the update @Sarkar bro and welcome back.

Bro interconnection agreement within 150 days means it's the time given between new launch & agreement between both parties or from now within 150 days there should be an interconnection agreement.

Actually 150 days means within 5 months the agreement should be done.I think the agreements which will come into force from 3 July 2018. There will be a date on which the contract agreement will expire.Counting 5 months from that date the broadcaster and DTH should enter into a new agreement based on new rates including new channels. If not it may go to a court. This is my understanding.
