Viacom18 wants a Malayalam GEC

The Colors TV group were in talks with Flowers TV to acquire them about 6-8 months back, as per reports. However, with Flowers TV going ahead with its own expansion and growth plans, the acquisition has been called off, said a source.

This definitely shows that they want a Malayalam GEC
So either they will launch a new channel or acquire a existing channel

Why all d biggest tv networks follow the southern region more than northern region???
As example, Star has 4 major south indian regional
language channels. Sony shows tamil telugu feeds of ipl, sony yay, sony bbc earth etc. Colors wants 2 present all 4 southern market.
My question is that why they alltime neglect north & east (except bangla market) region????
