Chennai: Super singer, being one of Star Vijay’s most popular shows, that has inspired billions of imaginations. The show that was started as a search for the greatest voice in Tamil Nadu ten years back in the year 2006 has evolved into one of the biggest reality shows in the country creating unimaginable impacts on its viewers.
Super Singer has brought about a revolution in the light music industry in the state with the increasing number of playback singers brought to the spotlight every season. The show has given hundreds of playback singers to the Film Industry.

Now the show is back with a new season and Vijay TV is determined to raise the bar of this singing talent franchise to all new high. The Super Singer Junior season 5 is all set to get aired from November 26th, 2016, every Saturday- Sunday at 7 PM.
To judge the best budding singer of super singer junior 5, the ever smiling melody queen Chithra, the most cheerful and bubbly singer Subha along with the enthusiastic singer Mano will take judges seat. The voice expert Ananth Vaithyanathan will train the young voices in this musical journey.
The stars of super singer show have sung for movies with promient music composers in the industry like AR Rahman, Illayaraja, Imman and Anirudh Ravichander.
The show has seen many young talents who have blossomed into passionate singers. Krishnamoorthy, Alka Ajith, Aajeedh Khalique, Spoorthi are the proud title winners of super singer junior season. Not only the winners, the show’s promising talents Like Pragathi, Yazhini and many more have got a chance in playback singing.
Many times the guests get enthralled by the performances and have even promised the contestants playback opportunities immediately after listening to them. From the great singer S.P.Balasubramanium lauding one of the performances as better than his original version to actor Dhanush promising a song in his movie to one of the juniors right on stage to Mr. A. R. Rahman offering the winners courses in his own academy to India’s most seasoned actor announcing it on national media that he feels that the future of Indian light music industry is intertwined with this very contest.
