Telecom service provider Vodafone Essar has bagged the exclusive rights for the live streaming of the ESPN Star Sports coverage of the 2011 World Cup which begins on 19 February.

Vodafone customers will be able to watch ball-by-ball live coverage of all the 49 ODIs on their mobile phones via ESPN Mobile TV. Live streaming of the matches will be available exclusively to Vodafone subscribers and can be availed on both 2G (GPRS enabled) and 3G handsets.

Vodafone Essar CMO Kumar Ramanathan said, "The 2011 cricket season in India coincides with an exciting time in the telecom industry. Through this association with ESPN Star Sports we continue to engage our customers in a more meaningful and relevant manner."
