Seeking Help Which aspect ratio is best for my led tv

16:9 , Just scan , Full ? Help me
It depends on the source of the video. If it is HD, then 16.9 will be ideal. If the source video is SD, then 4.3 will be suitable. I have a Philips TV which has 6 options - Normal, 16.9, 4.3, Just scan, Zoom and Smart Zoom. I always keep it in Normal mode. In this mode source aspect ratio is automatically displayed.

Okay, but I found major difference in 16:9 & Justscan/Full option, picture are very wide compared to 16:9. But in some channels like (WB) I see white dots on top.

In my TV also 16:9 , Just scan , Full but I always set for Just scan it fits perfectly with my LG TV it doesn't hide any corners but if u r watching SD channels then use 16:9 this will hide side Black bars and dots and screen fits perfect.

If you use 16.9 for SD channels, then the images appear short and stout. You can notice it more when you watch old black and white films. I set pillar box in my Dish TV STB and Normal in my TV. Original aspect ratio automatically comes to the TV.
