Why did you choose DTH over Cable Tv

No good cable wAllah in our area. DTH has many features which cable connection doesn't have. Rare disruption of service. Cost is so far bearable.

i m not saying about analogue cable wallas.

but i feel that MSOs r way better than DTHs:
1) economical
2) no affect if climate changes
3) signal quality - always remain 100% bcoz of the cables
4) package prices n ala carte prices n add on or mini packs r way better than any of the dths'.
prices r also lower.
5) recharge - if u don't pay to cable walla for a few days then also u ll see the channels but this facility is not there in dth.
6) HD -prices r very very cheap in MSOs.
7) Multiroom - the prices of multiroom r very very low as compare to DTHs.
8) channels addition - channels addition is very fast as compare to any DTHs.
almost all the channels available in my DEN MSO.

but still cudn't understant y people say DTH is better than MSO.
can anyone gimme only 5 valid n useful reasons?

@Prateek bro maybe in your and my places cable is good.
But as you can see people is small places where there are electricity cuts face disruption in cable every day which is bad.But i think they are talking about small cable companies i dont think any of the reputed mso are having this problem.
Yet in developed cities i don't understand why people have chosen DTH.
Cable has all advantages here no disruption in rains,many local channels which shows movies
And in my area 7star provides international channels like ftv hd,sky family hd,hallmark hd etc.

Pros and Cons of Cable & DTH in metro (am in chennai).

1. In cable, we will get all regional channels and essentials channels for just 100rs. with good clarity. And also LCO gives sports channels whenever india cricket match occurs. This is enough for common ppl and we are getting this for 100rs. We can't get this in any DTH. Even zing starting package is 99, we don't all regional channels (SUN, vijay is not thr). and also there is no sports channel in that package.

2. The disadvantage is , if a person wants any specific channel apart from this, he has to pay STB cost separately and then package cost separately. If the person , moves one house to another, there is no guarantee the other area LCO will tie up with same MSO, or will accept that old STB. Mostly , the person , will reinvest the cost fully.
But in DTH, this makes advantage.And also, we can choose the channels and packages with our wish .

After digital. Cable is good option. I have good pq and Aq by siti cable. End of year 2015, every city will digital.
