MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films has unveiled a slate of three youth-based films that will release in 2011.

The movies will fall under the Y-Films banner, which is headed by former MTV India boss Ashish Patil. Yash Raj Films recently launched its youth films studio, Y-Films.

The first film to come out of the banner is Luv Ka The End, an 'anti-rom-com'. The film, which features Shraddha Kapoor and introduces Taaha Shah, is slated to release on 6 May.

The second film, titled Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, is a rom-com set against the backdrop of social networking. The film is said to be a cheesy take off on one of YRF’s own earlier releases and colloquial Internet lingo used for making friend requests.

Directed by Nupur Asthana, the film introduces four new faces - Saqib Saleem, Saba Azad, Nishant Dahiya and Tara D’souza. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Raghu Dixit as composer.

Y-Films' third launch is a tech-based film. Titled as Virus Diwan, the story revolves around a young and twisted hacker. With a tagline that reads ‘Enter. Infect. Escape’, the film is the launch pad for Arjun Kapoor, son of Boney Kapoor.

Speaking on the new studio, Aditya Chopra said, “Youth is a segment that’s not just too big but too important to ignore. Y-Films continues YRF’s trend of breaking new genres. With a laser-sharp focus on youth, we hope to create a brand of cinema that will capture the hearts & imaginations of this elusive bunch and rock their world. Here’s to a new revolution – that begins with two fingers!”

Now-a-days YRF targetting youths, a good news. The new television serials Khotey Chikkey and Kismat from YRF banner are very good and popular among youths.
