Breaking ZEEL plans to strengthen regional channel portfolio (pushes launch of Punjabi, regional movie channels to FY20)

Zee have already a license for Punjabi region. They have Big Magic Punjab license. So, they may use this licence for their upcoming Punjabi GEC.

I doubt they would use this, and the permission for Broadcasting is in Hindi only.

• Zee Kannada Cinema
• Zee Kannada Cinema HD
• Zee Tamil Cinema

I'm curious; if Zee starts a movie channel in Malayalam, what will they name it? Zee Keralam Cinema or Zee Malayalam Cinema?!

But good news is Zee Punjabi may launch 2019 which will be a hybrid channel of music & movies.
3 movie channels are coming as per their latest planning.... Zee Ganga Talkies (Bhojpuri), Zee Tamil Cinema & Zee Kannada Cinema.

My expectation from South + Cinema are:

• Zee Kannada Cinema
• Zee Kannada Cinema HD
• Zee Tamil Cinema
• Zee Tamil Cinema HD

• SD channels will be launched on 2019, but HD feed may take time.

Along with South channels, their Bhojpuri movie channel also be launched on 2019.
