Vodafone launches Rs 499 Prepaid Plan offering 1.5 GB/day for 70 days: increases Rs 199 Plan, Rs 129 Plan, and Rs 555 Plan validity
Telecom Service Provider (TSP) Vodafone has this week launched a new prepaid plan at Rs 499 offering high-speed internet for 70 days validity. Vodafone has also revised its Rs 555 plan, Rs 129 plan and Rs 199 plan to offer more validity. The changes have been made over the last 3 days.

Vodafone Rs 499 Prepaid Plan Launched
Vodafone’s Rs 499 prepaid plan pack offers 1.5 GB/day high-speed internet data, truly unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, with a pack validity of 70 days. Vodafone Play subscription worth ₹ 499 and ZEE5 subscription worth ₹ 999 are the additional benefits in the pack. The plan is available in Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP West, and UP East. In Bihar, the plan has been launched with a reduced validity of only 60 days as per the listing on the Vodafone website.
Vodafone revises validity of Rs 555 Prepaid Plan, Rs 129 Prepaid Plan, and Rs 199 Prepaid Plan in Select Circles
Vodafone’s Rs 555 prepaid plan launched last month is now offering more validity at the same price. The plan initially used to offer unlimited calls, SMS and high-speed data benefits for 70 days along with Vodafone Play and Zee5 subscription for free in the Mumbai circle. The Rs 555 plan now offers 7 more days of validity taking the total validity of the pack to 77 up from 70.
Vodafone’s Rs 199 prepaid plan launched in December 2019 has also been revised to offer more validity. The Rs 199 plan before the tariff hike used to offer 1.5 GB data per day for 28 days. This plan was brought back and offered 1 GB of data per day and 100 local/national SMS per day for 21 days. The plan has now been revised to offer 24 days of validity with 3 days validity being added to the pack.
Vodafone’s Rs 129 prepaid plan launched in December 2019 has also been revised to offer more validity. Rs 129 plan which used to offer 2 GB data for 28 days before the tariff hike was re-launched to provide 2 GB data and 300 local/national SMS for 14 days. The plan has now been revised to offer 24 days of validity with 10 days validity being added to the pack.
The 3 validity extensions are live in Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP West, and UP East. In Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, North East, and West Bengal, Vodafone continues to offer these plans at the old validity.
The UP West plan listing, however, shows the new validity of Rs 129 plan and Rs 199 plan as 28 days. In other circles, the validity is only 24 days. The detailed info however currently lists the old validity of 14 days and 21 days respectively. It is not clear currently if the plan details are correct or not.
Vodafone now offers over 20 prepaid plans across different circles. Vodafone Mumbai circle users now have 19 unlimited prepaid plans to choose from. The increase in pack validity is an attempt from Vodafone to try and retain its customers who have been shifting to other telecom service providers.
