In September 2011 I visited Kolkata to see my family, and one of the TV channels in the local cable in my grandmother’s house (astonishingly enough for WB) was Manorama News. But the channel was showing some strange coloured logo in the top right corner. My naani has a small CRT TV, so I thought that the channel was having some signal fault. Only when Tata Sky started adding many Malayalam channels in August and September 2013 (it had only 4 Malayalam channels before then: Asianet, Surya TV, Kiran TV (now Surya Movies) and Asianet News) did I notice the new channel.
