Much-needed development considering that Jonack has been absent from Tata Play for many years. Big national broadcasters have no intention to enter the Assamese market so we will have to be content with local broadcasters. A new GEC will hopefully pose some stiff competition to Rang and Rengoni.

Based on how fast our state is growing. Becoming one of the important state of the union. Pretty soon they are gonna regret. Anyhow I am happy that we have our local industry industry. Eenadu and Sun type companies.

Assam is slowly realizing the importance of free TV and also hoping to get on DDFD.

But all non-Hindi states have a long way to go to reach the level of Kerala in free TV offerings.

In south indian states TV Channels are already available at highly subsidised rates thru local cable tv networks and most people subscribe to it. Pay TV DTH Platforms too growing and becoming major preference among people as these companies too provide various low price plans /offers for viewers residing in these states.

There is no need for south indian tv channels to come on DD Free Dish bcoz of above reason

Do you have any data to back what you say or you just talk in air?

Assamese satellite channels are FTA channels since their inception in 2003. Most Assamese channels were local cable channels before which were available on local cable like Prag and V&S. None are available on DD Freedish. How can they be hoping to get on DDFD?

What is the cost of average plan in states like Tamil Nadu where cable is provided by state owned company? Do they offer discounts on NCF?

Free TV should be available in every country. Whether developed or developing.

Since terrestrial is not an option in India, DDFD is the only platform for free TV in India as of now.
