Colors (stylized as colors viacom 18) is an Indian general entertainment pay television channel owned by Viacom18. It was launched on 21 July 2008. Its programming consists of family dramas, comedies, fantasy shows, youth-oriented reality shows, shows on crime, and television films.

Still remember the launch of Colors TV on DishTV, channel no. 111, in 2008.
Some shows we enjoyed at that time were *Balika Vadhu* and *Khatron Ke Khiladi*.
The market already had Hindi general entertainment channels like Star Plus, Zee TV, Zee Smile, Zee Next, Star One, Sony, SAB, Sahara One, and NDTV Imagine. Despite this, Colors quickly grew into a popular TV channel.
It's been 15 years now!

The newly launched channel which disrupted the market on the launch itself. Forcing changes on other networks. Star went from red from blue. Sony collaborates with YRF for content. NDTV dares to dream big. Zee was overconfident. Just see where they are now.
