Yes its 100% possible but not most of the sd customer benefit from it. If a customer has 4:3 TV then the picture will stretched. So inorder to match SD TV ratio they cant broadcast in 16:9. :tup

huh...........

Bro think about 90 % customers who are still using SD connection with
CRT. 16: 9 on a 4:3 TV will look very small with big black bar on top and bottom.
Broadcaster cannot ignore them as most revenue comes from them.

then don't u think that there should be an option to switch between the 16 by 9 and 4 by 3 stuff.......

Yes ofcourse your lcd led tv automatically show a sd channel in16:9 aspect ratio...
