5.1 Dolby Digital

I AM USING VIDEOCON HD D2H and Pioneer Amp. My setup box has SD/DIF Audio output port. But my amplifier has optical port input. How to connect these port? can i get 5.1 sound using these port? Please help me

You can purchase an optical cable and connect(something like below)

This will not work. You need coaxial to optical cables converted i guess. some thing like this

No personal experience with those.
