Good News 6 New Channels added on Dish TV

Dish TV added 6 New Channels on it's DTH Platform.

The New Channels are:

1.Siripoli on Channel No.1809 (Re-added)
2.Jaya TV on Channel No.1813 (Re-added)
3.Isai Aruvi on Channel No.1857 (Re-added)
4.Surya Comedy on Channel No.1925
5.Surya Music on Channel No.1945
6.Kairali News on Channel No.1971

What is happening in dishtv first they remove south channels and now they are launching new south channels none of north channels are launching in dishtv

Really unexpected! So many South channels (including HD channels like Surya HD and Star Vijay HD) are available only on ST2 and not NSS6. It is really surprising to see Dish TV add South channels on 4-digit LCNs (rather than the 3-digit LCNs used by d2h).

Looks like a new strategy to launch now on Dishtv and share on ST-2 as other channels Dishtv is also reluctant to add as this will require new investments.Status Quo is the new normal for Dishtv looking at the financial stress it is in.

Well it is not like Dish TV will not add south chs, just that one needs to align to ST2 to receive it. All part of properly leveraging resources . Not adding new chs has no relation to lack of funds bcoz now they do not have to pay anything upfront or advance, just RIO signing required. They r not adding chs bcoz of less no. of viewers for such chs in their subscriber base and hence they r finding it to best to continue with existing ones or even switching off current tp's might be an option. Dish TV is taking it easy till they r reassured about adequate financial backup for expansion on multiple levels, if they add chs still they need more money to fund other things which is in shortage and to increase revenue they need to make people aware of offerings / opt for more chs they again need huge promotional spending again a big risk at this point
