The fifth edition of Hindi news channel Aaj Tak’s flagship on-ground property ‘Agenda Aaj Tak’ is set to kick off on 6 December.
The two-day conclave will see the convergence of influential faces across politics, defence, entertainment and sports.
This year ‘Agenda Aaj Tak’ will tap into the current catchphrase of black and white in the context of demonetisation.
The news developments around demonetisation and the recent surgical strikes across the LOC have both become turning points in the national agenda and as the nation goes through this crucial juncture in history, Aaj Tak attempts to shape the way forward by bringing all key stakeholders on one platform.
The list of speakers includes top faces from the government, namely Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Law and Justice and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, chief ministers including Arvind Kejriwal, Vasundhara Raje and Harish Rawat, BJP president Amit Shah, stars from the entertainment world, along with Baba Ramdev.
The conclave will be opened with the session ‘BJP Ki Agni Pariksha’ with speaker BJP president Amit Shah addressing the audience, followed by a session on ‘Satta Milegi Dobara’ with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will speak on ‘Raje Ka Rajasthan’. Popular TV stars will take part in the session ‘Sahi Pakde Hain’.
A fiery session is expected on ‘Desh Ka Mudda’ where AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy and Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh will be the participants. Bollywood stars Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh will bring glamour and stardom to the day in the sessions ‘Lady Sultan!’ and ‘Ranveer Ki Befikri’ respectively.
Former Chiefs of Army Staff General Bikram Singh (Retd.) and General VP Malik (Retd.) will discuss issues on the preparedness of the forces in the session ‘Border Ka Bandobast’.
The first day of the conclave will end with session by Yoga guru Baba Ramdev followed by a session on ‘AAP Ka Vision’ by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
The second day of the conclave will start with Prakash Javadekar addressing the audience in the session ‘Padhai Ka Badlega Pattern’, followed by a session by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt. Amarinder Singh on the session ‘Punjab Ka Sardar Kaun?’
The cast of popular TV comedy show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’—Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Sudesh Lehri and producer Vipul D Shah—are expected to add laughter in the session ‘Kaise Bachegi Comedy?’
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag will share his views, opinions and more on ‘Sehwag Ki Twittergiri!’ BSNL chairperson and MD Anupam Shrivastava is slated to speak on the telecom revolution. This will be followed by the session ‘Paisa Yeh Paisa’ with comedians Raju Srivastav, Sunil Pal, Zakir Khan, Aditi Mittal and Nitin Gupta (Rivaldo).
Ravi Shankar Prasad and Rajya Sabha opposition leader Anand Sharma will speak in the session ‘Badal Raha Hai India’, while MoS (IC) for New and Renewable Energy, Mines, Power and Coal Piyush Goyal and CPIM leader Mohammed Salim will discuss ‘Badle Note, Badlega India?’
The Kashmir issue will be debated in the session ‘Mission Kashmir’ with MoS Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh, J&K People’s Democratic Party leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Congress leader Manish Tewari.
The session ‘UP Ka Big Boss Kaun?’ will see debates on the politics of Uttar Pradesh between MoS (IC) for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Raj Babbar and Samajwadi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Agrawal.
Former J&K CM Farooq Abdulla will speak in the special session ‘Kashmir par Abdullah Deewana’.
The day will end with a session by Nitin Gadkari where he will speak on ‘Aadha Ho Gaya, Aadha Baaki Hai’.
