Bharti Airtel is restructuring its Direct-to-home (DTH) business into two new verticals: Connected Homes and DTH.

Siddharth Sharma will lead Connected Homes, while Gujral will head DTH. The Customer Experience unit will become a standalone function led by Shivan Bhargava. Amit Tripathi takes on Market Operations, all reporting to MD and CEO Shashwat Sharma. Changes take effect April 1, 2025.

Good News!

Look like a pre cursor to the mega launch of Airtel's Internet/App Based OTT+ Channels Service (Regular + Server Based + Platform Service Channels) much like Jio TV+ which going forward might be included as part of Airtel Black Combo Plans which DTH Combo plans may also continue to be available for those wanting to opt for them.

Also separating DTH Unit might be linked to ongoing plans of acquiring Tata Play thereby aligning the segment..... I sense that Tata will continue to keep Tata Play Binge OTT business with them as there is scope to grow there by providing the same with their Broadband Service or even tying up with 3rd party broadband service providers or even sell standalone packs
