Seeking Help Airtel xstream queries

I am planning to take xstream airfiber connection this month with dth, can someone help me with below doubts?

1. Can we use satcr lnb of tataplay in xstream box?

2. Which box is better xstream 3/4? I heard although xstream 4 is running on latest A12, xstream 3 box looks premium due to metal , has optical port , faster boot time, is it true? Any difference in software features? Somewhere I saw xstream 4 has more colorspaces option i.e. upto 16bit color

buddy if ur STB model supports Sat CR LNB then u can use the same however i suggest u to use Normal LNB as Sat CR LNB is used for different purpose like if u have DVR having multiple signal wire ports hence Sat CR LNB helps to not send 3 separate wires to the Dish but via splitter where three wires from STB go into thereon one can can send single wire to the dish..... But again i do not suggest u using the same on HD STB

XStream 4 Box made by Technicolor which i find to have great product quality while i believe XStream 3 Box is manufactured by Flextronics which too is quite good..... All of Airtel XStream Boxes r great in hardware + software quality and features provided however when comparing one may score over another in some aspects....here is the comparison thread which may be of help to u in order to make final decision on the same

i bought airtel xstream4 box 1250/- with ultimate hd pack 363/- total 1613/- (with out ODU)

Airtel Xsteam4 Box picture quality , audio quality same like previous xstream3 box

+ve
channel changing is fast, no channel freeze ,
apps opening faster
hd channels picture quality is excellent compare to binge+ box

-ve
always hdr or no hdr , no adaptive feature


i am using both xstream,binge+ for me xstream >>> binge+

Finally Bought New Airtel XStream Box 3.0 (That's How Airtel Call This Box) - With Android 10,

UI Looks Same As Old XStream, Box Images Below.

Thanks bro..but I wanted side by side comparison
My tataplay satcr has one port only like normal lnb, supports upto 8 channels
It works fine with my binge+ box , thinking whether it will work in xstream box or not

Your most welcome bro.... As XStream Box have single tuner hence i would recommend u to use normal or super LNB.... SatCR LNB will work but why attach XStream Box to it as it is meant for different purpose as i have explained in above post

My friend was telling they are providing xstream fibre connection with dth but no ODU, my existing tp dish has satcr lnb

They do provide ODU and even free installation for select Airtel Mobile / Broadband customers..... If u one 6 months plan and pays upfront then installation / activation charges waived off for all, router is free irrespective of ifvu opt for regular or long duration plans.... Long Duration plans also offer savings and ofcourse Airtel Black plans provide several benefits.... If u want to install xstream box on old dish then they may further give Rs. 500 discount
