When Tolly stars come together at the same venue and same time, some high voltage drama is surely expected. The 58th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 – South was no different. The show saw some interesting equations being played out.
The players were none other than Anushka Shetty and Naga Chaitanya. Weeks after the media was abuzz with news of Akkineni Jr and the Shetty gal's engagement, the duo had to come face to face at the venue of the awards ceremony. But before the shutterbugs could make a field day of their sighting, they cleverly avoided any encounter that could set tongues wagging.
Chaitanya walked in with father Nagarjuna quite early on. While comfortably seated with his cousin Rana Daggubati, Chaitanya seemed to be in a good mood. He was interacting with other industry colleagues and sharing jokes with Rana. His alleged lady love, Anushka Shetty, who won the Filmfare for Best Actor (Female) that night, walked in only to stop midway on spotting Chaitanya. With a seat available at close proximity to the actor, Ansuhka evidently tried her best to avoid going anywhere near him. In a bid to look busy while she scouted for a seat, she even exchanged greetings with filmi folks sitting nearby. Finally the actor managed to find a seat to her liking — next to filmmaker Krish, who directed her in "Vedam". With Krish especially thanking his "Sweety" on stage while receiving his award, the move shouldn't come as a surprise, no?
P.S: Chaitanya left the venue before Anushka could receive her Filmfare Best Actor (Female) Award.
