Arnab Goswami’s news channel will be named ‘Republic TV’ and not ‘Republic’, according to a fresh application filed with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).
Goswami, in his capacity as the managing director and editor-in-chief of ARG Outlier Media Pvt Ltd that will run the new channel, has requested that all references to ‘Republic’ in their previous applications be now read as ‘Republic TV’, News18 reported
Chandrasekhar, who is the also the CMD of Asianet News Network, has invested Rs 30 crore in the venture.
Pai has invested Rs 7.5 crore in SARG while Panda has put in Rs 5 crore in the company. Kothari’s investment in the company has been Rs 2.5 crore. Manchanda, along with Sanjeev Manchanda and Tapesh Virendra Singhi, has invested over Rs 2.5 crore in SARG, cumulatively.
