The No. 1 GEC in Kerala Market "Asianet" is gearing up to strengthen its prime time supremacy among Malayalam audience with a new Non Fiction show titled "Music India", a reality show for amateur bands.
There will be 12 Malayalam bands who will compete at various levels.
It seems Asianet has roped in special judges to match with the genera of the show, as we hear that singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah will be one of the judges for a music reality show.
This is for the first time that the actress is coming down to Kerala to judge a reality show. Earlier, she was invited as a celebrity judge for a music show in Tamil.
To support Andrea, the channel has added other biggies like Gopi Sunder, George Peter and Deepak Dev to judges the show.
The first episode on September 25th will be a special one with Remya Nambeeshan and Drums Sivamani being invited as a celebrity guest.
The Star Singer fame Ranjini Haridas will be anchoring the show which will be telecast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 pm to 9 pm.
The channel has signed "Bhima Jewellers" as the title sponsor of the show.
Earlier, the channel has conducted auditions in all major cities in Kerala and abroad and also invited entries for audition the submission of a performance CD to the show producers and the top twelve contenders were shortlisted for the final show down in "Music India"
