MUMBAI: Within months of MK Anand’s taking over as MD and CEO of Times Television Network (TTN), the two CEOs looking after the network’s English, news and lifestyle channels have quit. While CEO of English channels Ajay Trigunayat had quit last month, CEO of Times Now, ET Now and Zoom Avinash Kaul put in his papers earlier this month. Kaul was not available for comments till filing of this report. However, sources in the network confirmed the development to TelevisionPost.com. Kaul had joined TTN in August 2010 as CEO of Zoom. The position became vacant after Anand’s exit in late 2009. Prior to this, Kaul was business head of Sahara One for six months. Well before that, he was associated with NDTV Media, Star India, Discovery Communications and Mindshare. Meanwhile, sources said that all the functionaries of these channels will now report directly to Anand. Soon after joining TTN in January from Disney UTV, Anand had introduced a number of changes and had all the group functions of finance, distribution, legal and HR report directly to him. Both Trigunayat and Kaul were heading day-to-day operations.
