According to select data shared by BARC India for Week 52 for Hindi general entertainment channels (December 26 to January 1) {HSM: NCCS All : 4+ Individuals: BARC India base – All India (U+R), Ratings (000s)}, Colors strengthened its leadership position with a gross viewership of 744923 (last week 725881).

Star Plus’ grew to a gross viewership of 712114 (last week 676890).

Zee TV witnessed further decline in viewership and recorded a gross viewership of 651175 against last week’s 669655.

Life OK retained its No. 4 position but lost maximum viewership among all the pay channels. The channel dropped to a gross viewership of 396615 (last week 437469).

SAB TV rose to No. 5 position with a gross viewership of 328873 (last week 323214).

Sony Entertainment Television lost further viewership and slid to No. 6. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 314286 against last week’s 342689.

FTA channels

Among FTA channels, Zee Anmol strengthened its position at No. 1 with a gross viewership of 742876 (last week 712825).

Star Utsav held its No. 2 position despite steep fall in viewership among FTA channels. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 464803 (last week 514354).

Rishtey added maximum viewership and strengthened its position at No. 3 this week. The channel grew to a gross viewership of 379529 (last week 286712).

Sony Pal too recorded a huge jump in its viewership and grew to a gross viewership of 323119 (last week 239700).

Top 5 programmes in Hindi GECs

As per select data (HSM: NCCS All: Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs): Individuals: BARC India base – All India (U+R), Colors’ ‘Naagin’ remained the most watched show in Week 52 with an average viewership of 19847 (last week 18549).

Star Plus’ ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’ entered the top 5 club at No. 3 this week. The show garnered an average viewership of 12599.

Zee Anmol’s ‘Ek Se Bhale Do’ was the second most watched show with a viewership of 13685 (last week 12739).

‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on Zee TV climbed one position to No. 4. The show recorded a viewership of 12515 (last week 12183).

Colors’ ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ was at No. 5 with a viewership of 12339 (last week 12363).
