Best HD DTH as of May, 2012?

Currently, I have Tata Sky. I was thinking of upgrading to Tata Sky HD Plus. But it has only 8 HD channels at the moment. The upgrade would take Rs 3999/- so I was thinking to shift to a better DTH which offers more HD channels than TataSky.

I mostly watch All English Movie Channels, Geographical Channels and other English Channels like: AXN, Comdey Central, etc.

My father generally watches all news channels, star plus, sony and sab.

Which DTH would you recommend. Please also suggest price if you know.

Tata sky hd is best dth, in terms of hardware and channel quality... Secondly 8 HD channels which it has are full hd 1080i with some channels giving multi channel dolby digital plus. Dont go on fake marketing by dish tru hd/ hd+ on 40 hd channels... Most of them are upscaled.

HD channel count in India is expected to rise exponentially after digitization comes into effect from July 2012 starting with 4 metros of Delhi, mumbai, kolkata and chennai..

Invest in Tata sky hd/ +hd which will reap you benefits in the long run...

rest decision is in your hands....

Airtel HD is best choice as it has the most numbers of HD channels which is 15 HD channels.
Airtel have no space crunch in TPs as TS is facing it.

In the long run, Tata sky will get gsat, after that one shouldnt repent for taking a wrong decision... :huh

go with digital cable as future with digital cable is good and you have good option to watch more channels and most big network also offer HD channels!

If you think about long perspective take Tatasky HD+ . now they have some space issues but in next few months they will lead the HD DTH industry.
