Mumbai: BIG Ganga, the No.1 regional entertainment channel of Bihar & Jharkhand launches Ganga Jagran from 2nd – 11th October for Navratra, celebrating the festival with a series of specials for all nine days. This includes a special programming line-up dedicated to Goddess Durga such as Jhula Jhooley Maiya (6.30 am), Prabhu Sang Preet Lagaayi (7 am), Bhakti Sagar (7.30 am), Bhakti Mahima with Malini Awasthi (9 am), Mamiya key Daar Maiya (4pm), Shakti special movie festival all 9 days and Chalo Bulava Aaya Hain – a 3 hour musical live event in Patna.
Ganga Jagran is a stage based devotional musical event with a wholesome combination of devotion and entertainment. The show will feature various known artists from the region. Ganga Jagran will air from 2nd – 11th October.
Bhakti Sagar, a 1-hour 30-minute devotional morning show (7.30 am) will pay tribute to nine goddesses in the form of bhajans. To glue the audience, the anchor will also intersperse short mythological stories related to the goddesses. At the end of both the shows, audience can witness aarti of all nine goddesses in different temples for nine days.
Bhakti Mahima is a devotional music show associated with spiritualism along with bhakti songs. Malini Awasthi, the soulful singer is the show anchor which will feature devotional songs with other celebrities from the region.
Ensuring a special dose of family entertainment, the channel will be introducing a Shakti Special Movie Festival across the 9 days.
Speaking on the launch, a spokesperson from BIG Ganga said, “Navratri is one of the most celebrated festivals and being the leader in the region, we wanted to provide our audience with a seamless experience of devotion and entertainment. The whole idea of “Ganga Jagran” is to bring this nine-day celebration in a format that is engaging, entertaining and creative.”
