In line with its 2015 aim of having more fiction and reality content, youth entertainment channel Bindass has lined up an assortment of shows for the next three months. In June, Bindass will launch the second season of its relationship-focused show ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ in a new avatar. Also underway is the channel’s ‘Dreamstart’ initiative featuring music maestro AR Rahman.

In August, the channel will launch a major non-fiction property called ‘Bindass Naach’. As per the first set of individual ratings provided by BARC for Week 21, Bindass emerged as the No 1 channel in the youth entertainment space.

Quoting BARC data for the week, Disney India Media Networks VP and head content and communication Vijay Subramaniam said Bindass got ratings of 3,030 thousands (HSM 10L+ 15-21 AB) and was ahead of MTV and Channel V. “As a brand, we are the friend of youth in India and focus on their passion.

We have got momentum now and we will drive home new concepts to further our growth,” he added. The channel will soon launch the second season of ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ titled ‘Siyappa Ishq Ka’.

Launching on 20 June, the show will narrate tales of the sudden realisation of love and the intense emotional journey. Each episode will explore an array of emotions associated with love.

There will be tales of unrequited love, unrealised love, commitment phobia, past experiences coming back in a flash to change everything, and more.

Another initiative the channel is working on is ‘Dreamstart KMMC’, the third edition of ‘Dreamstart’.

After an internship at UTV and association with MICA for a communication course, ‘Dreamstart’ has now collaborated with music genius AR Rahman’s KM Institute of Music & Technology. This will give 20 aspirants a platform to pursue their dream in the field of music.

The channel is currently shortlisting the participants. In August, the channel will launch a dance-based drama reality series ‘Bindass Naach’.

It will trace the coming-of-age journey of three youngsters, namely Shantanu Maheshwari, Macedon D’Mello and Nimit Kotian as they together pursue their passion for dance and follow a collective dream of performing at the ‘World of Dance 2015’.
