India's leading distribution company of television channels, TheOneAlliance, has pulled the plug on Reliance Big TV , just before the start of the much anticipated PEPSI IPL 2013 series scheduled to air on MAX and SIX, due to NONPAYMENT OF DUES. There are almost two million subscribers on Reliance Big TV.

Mr. Makarand Palekar, Sr. Vice President, Sales & Affiliate Relations, TheOneAlliance confirmed that despite persistent follow ups, there was no release of funds, leading to accumulation of a huge outstanding. In this regard a public notice was also released in Economic Times & Business Standard, across the country, informing subscribers of an impending switch off.

The PEPSI IPL 2013 series, India’s leading sporting event, starts April 03, 2013, has always attracted huge eyeballs.

TheOneAlliance is a joint venture between two Media giants, Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd. (SONY Entertainment Network) and Discovery Communications and in its partnership with India’s leading network broadcasters brings 28 premium channels to over 90 million homes across 4,000 cities and towns in India, through a selective bouquet of quality channels that are leaders in their respective genres. that is a shocking news. i feel sad for rdtv users.

hope at least on the day of ipl ambani brothers will pay atleast some of the amount so that IPL can be viewed.
 
so sad, i think they mange it before IPL.
 
So rdtv users will miss IPL in HD.

What about Sun? Will they carry Sony Six HD or not?
 
i have already told u long ago that reliance digital tv will eventually shut down, also same will happen with tata sky if they do not wake up soon
