BTH LINES - In satellite foot prints .

BTH - Beyond The Horizon.

BTH Lines are shown in all satellite foot print map.

A thin white lines are marked to define the boundary.

That means we are not able to receive the satellite signal above this lines.

It is the boundary point of the signal .

In the below footprint, PAKSAT 1R , We are in the BTH line region. So we catch it.
But Australia is in out of BTH line. So Australia cannot track PAKSAT 1R.

In the below footprint, we are away from BTH line. So we cannot catch EUTELSAT -8.

Because Earth surface come between your dish and satellite. So all the signals are blocked by earth. You are in the other side of the earth.


So the above reason in India we are not able to track 0 W to 140 W degree and 160 E to 180 E degree.
