Hi guys!
Ever since i got Xstream box, the chromecast built in support has been shabby. Sometimes it wont appear on network, sometimes it wont connect to phone app. All that is fine, but the biggest issue that i have is with constant frame drops during playback. It cannot play a 1080p 60Fps video from youtube without getting laggy/choppy/stuttery. Same story with Netflix, Prime and even local playback. Interestingly all the native apps on TV work without a hitch. Native Youtube App can stream just about anything. Plex app works with direct playback of 10 bit HEVC video. So yes the hardware is surely capable. Somehow casting just never worked they way it should.
I have a 2nd gen Chromecast hooked in the same TV and it still works beautifully. Can anyone confirm this issue?
