CID to be revamped, three cops out
One of the longest running shows, CID will see three of its cops exiting the show after being a part of it for several years. Hrishikesh Pandey (Sachin) , Tanya Abrol (Jaywanti) and Abhay Shukla (Nikhil) are out as the makers apparently plan to revamp the 18-year-old show.
The actors, who are on their way out, feel that they are being underutilized as the show invariably revolves around three main cops.
Hrishikesh says, "This is my eighth year. While the character showed immense potential in the beginning, I am not happy with my graph since the last three years. I have not been seen much on the show and there is nothing left for me to explore. It's better to move on and take up daily soaps."
We hear that the makers had to introduce major changes in the storyline and cast. There will be three new faces joining the show.
