Top five programmes

The list of the week’s top-rated programmes was dominated by Colors with four of its shows on the list.
The channel already had three shows in the top list in the previous week.

However, Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ continued to be the top-rated show. The second spot went to Colors’ ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, followed by ‘Mere Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’, which re-entered the chart by displacing Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.

The fourth and fifth spots were held by ‘Swaragini’ and ‘Udaan’ from the Colors stable respectively.

Hindi movie channels

In the Hindi movie genre, Zee Cinema displaced Sony Max to take the top spot in the week ended 28 August.

Surprisingly, the Hindi movie genre also witnessed a fall in their viewership during the week, with the top three channels losing viewership.

Max saw a bigger fall than Zee Cinema, which allowed the latter to climb up.

Meanwhile, Star Gold stay put in the third position despite a fall in viewership.

Top five movies

Similar to the previous week, Sony Max continued to dominate the list in Week 34 with three positions on the list.

Sony Max took the top two spots by airing ‘The Return of Rebel’ and ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ respectively. Max had showcased the Emraan Hashmi–Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ in Week 33 as well, which had also occupied the No. 2 spot.

Movies OK entered the top movie list by showcasing Salman Khan-starrer ‘Jai Ho’, followed by Zee Cinema at the fourth spot with ‘Indra the Tiger’ and Max again at the fifth with ‘Heropanti’.
