Colors Marathi flags off with new shows

MUMBAI: After rebranding, Colors Marathi is
launching three shows to complement its
new packaging.

Boosting the entertainment quotient, ‘Majha
Hoshil Ka’, ‘Sakhi’ and ‘Amchya Gharyat
Soonbai Joraat’ will debut on 23 March.
While ‘Amchya Gharat Soon Bai Joraat’ will
air at 6:30 pm, ‘Majha Hoshil Ka’ will
surface at 9:30 pm and ‘Sakhi’ at 10 pm.

Bringing alive the change on 22 March was
the ‘Marathi International Film and Theatre
Awards’ (MICTA), an event that celebrated
the success in Marathi film and theatre
industry.

Colors Marathi business head Anuj Poddar
said, “We are truly excited about this new
chapter and are looking forward to doing
what we do best, i.e. to bring great quality
content and entertainment to millions of our
Marathi viewers. We hope that the
audiences will continue to enjoy our shows.

I am hopeful that this will be a key
milestone in the continuing growth of the
Marathi entertainment industry and take the
entire Marathi TV entertainment industry to
much greater heights.”

Added Colors Marathi content head Sanjay
Upadhyay, “The three new shows that are
set to launch are all unique and address the
varying needs of our audiences. Hope that
our viewers make these engaging and
entertaining shows a part of their daily
lives.”

‘Amchya Gharyat Soonbai Joraat’ is a game
show hosted by actor Prasad Oak. It will see
a face-off of families led by the daughter-
in-laws through engaging games.

‘Mazha Hoshil Ka’ will present romance
though the story of Samar, a complex and
head-strong man, and Rujuta, the beautiful
girl next door. Both Samar and Rujuta are
the pillars holding their families together.
How these two distinctive individuals find
love with each other will form the story.

‘Sakhi’ will showcase the story of Alka’s
self-discovery through the support and love
of her husband Makrand. The show will
highlight the journey of a housewife in
discovering her self-worth and her family
realising her indispensability.
