New Delhi, Oct 18 — With the date for switchover to digitalisation of cable TV network fast approaching, the information and broadcasting ministry said Thursday it has set up a control room to answer all queries relating to the move.
The control room, effective from Oct 15, has the toll free phone number 1-800-180-4343. It is functional on all days from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"The Control Room will help to address and clarify various queries relating to acquisition of Set Top Boxes, various schemes of purchase of STBs, package rates offered by MSOs (multi-system operators) etc. Consumers and other stakeholders can call on this toll free number during this period.
"Representatives of five national-level MSOs namely DEN, In Cable, Hathway, Digi Cable, and Siti Cable are also available in the Control Room during this period to address any specific queries relating to their respective networks/services," a statement said.
