Could anyone tell what percentage of vat & tax applies for Airtel DTH

Hi,

I've looking to buy Airtel DTH HD settop box, i don't know whether it is good enough to subscribe. However, I really need to know what percentage applies as vat & tax for Airtel DTH. I suppose every payment including monthly billing might be included of vat & tax. I would like to hear from you ..) thanks

adtv packs i.e. monthly packs include all the amount of taxes i.e. ent tax n vat both n r uniform throughout india.

so u need not to worry.

14% service Tax+ Ent. Taxes extra acc to Region by Region like North & South regions..
Service Tax myt goes from 14% to 16% in coming days as Finance minister suggested Govt. to impose 2% Tax as Swach Abhiyaan..:s :s

Service Tax Rate is 12 percent as of now, which is proposed to be increased to 14% (i.e. increase of 2%).

VAT rate is also not uniform accross the states, in MP it is 14% while in other states (not all) it is 13%.

But the cost of the stb's isn't affected by it as DTH companies sell their equipments in uniform rates accross the nation, so you don't have to worry about VAT and ST really unless you need that info for some other reason.

bro... present service tax is 12.36% only
14% is proposed service tax but it has not been notified as of now
latest is that it may b implemented from june or july

I thought that its implenented from 1st April 2015 onwards as new financial year starts on dis date..:huh
